Job Title : Production Lead – Accounting Operations

Job Description :

• Provide leadership to a team of 2 members (performance management, staff development, back-up planning including cross training, coaching, communication).
• Establish strong review mechanism around varied activities of client accounting operations.
• Review the health of the process on an ongoing basis on the established parameters defined under SLA
• Manage the query management process effectively – timeliness of response, quality of response, status communication and closure.
• Identify the need for enhancement of training or refresher training specific to the processes being managed and address this need appropriately by seeking assistance from the training team / client contacts etc. This would need to be routed through the supervisor.
• Ensure that all processes are adequately and appropriately documented and ratified by relevant contacts on the client’s side. Ensure that the process documentation is reviewed on periodic basis (once every two months) and all process changes are documented and approved by the clients. Adequate version control should be exercised.
• Escalate issues to Supervisor / Department Manager, both positive and negative ones.
• Encourage a co-operative and ‘can-do’ attitude to enhance HP’s standards and performance by harnessing everyone’s skills and talents within the team.
• Work with other teams to achieve optimum performance of unit as a whole

Desired :

• First level university Commerce degree preferred.
• Typically 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Good analytical skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
