This was a study project wherein I listed the raw materials, collected economic data, studied available processes and selected most popular process. Then performed mass balance, energy balance for particular product flow rate. Other set of activities includes making process flow diagram and P&ID, study of process variables that affect the thermodynamics, kinetics conversion and yield.

Title: Separation of ethyl acetate from organic mixture.
During this I have designed a multi-component distillation system for recovery of ethyl acetate from organic effluent. I have designed a tray column for the separation efficiency of 98% and ethyl acetate recovery of greater than 95%.
