Job Description : Research Analyst -WNT R-10
An individual working as a Tax Senior Analyst with the Tax Policy Services and Washington National Tax teams will use demonstrated familiarity of issues, research, and managerial skills to oversee efforts to obtain and organize information, and develop client deliverables, related to U.S. Federal tax issues of interest to Deloitte’s clients.
A Tax Analyst in this group is expected to obtain the following skills:
Use research tools available to complete internal and external client engagements
Draft tax research memorandum that includes relevant facts, analysis, and conclusions; assist with the preparation of various client deliverables, including news communiqué³ and presentations
Exhibit familiarity with the structure of (and individuals overseeing) various functions of the tax practice
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee research projects (including managing duties of a Tax Analyst) and complete client deliverables, while exercising familiarity of various research tools available to firm tax professionals
Work in collaboration with Washington National Tax and Region 10 (Hyderabad) leaders to coordinate tax research-related activities
Develop core Federal tax knowledge to effectively and efficiently analyze tax issues and complete client engagements.

Demonstrated experience to effectively manage personnel, multiple tasks, and?changing priorities in a complex business environment

Flexibility to work sometimes long, irregular hours where client imposed deadlines dictate the necessity to do so.

PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE: 
Equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or other related major.
Bachelors in Law or Chartered Accountant is preferable but not mandatory
Excellent verbal, written, presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of computer applications, such as, MS-Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to use online information services, including: LexisNexis, Commerce Clearing House,? Tax Notes Today, Thomas (U.S. Library of Congress), BNA Online, RIA Online and other Tax Management Software.
