Job Description :

• Install, analyze, monitor, configure, manage and maintain multiple MySQL servers and databases.
• Provide support for 24 X 7.
• Document database and processes to provide cross-functional support of systems and also be willing to work on multiple DB platforms as called upon with DBA team.
• Strong ability to do Capacity Planning, Health Monitoring, Diagnostics and Performance Tuning.
• Have a strong understanding of performance optimization at schema level, service level, and OS level, hardware level.
• Understand database set theory, optimize DB schema based on normalization, demoralization techniques, query analysis and index optimization; database refectory.
• Starting & Stopping MySQL
• DB Creation / Loading of data/Indexing
• Create new DB users; grant and revoke permissions for users.
• Granting & Revoking permissions for the DB users
• DB Consistency check, Reindexing, Fragmentation
• Backup & Recovery Management (Full backup, Transaction log backup, Scheduling, Monitoring, restoration, Verification of backup tapes)
• Performance Monitoring & Database Tuning:(Memory, Disk, I/O & Lock monitoring and tuning, Check fragmentation level, statistics, SQL Execution Plan, Monitoring performance counters)
