PROJECT WORK:

Manufacturing process of insulation for air cooled turbo generator by VACCUM PRESSURE IMPREGNATION process in BHEL at Ram Chandra Puram.
Summary:

The project is a detailed study of VPI Process used for insulation of turbo Generator.

Uninterrupted power generation possible only when the Generators are designed in such way that they work efficiently for long duration. So, insulation plays vital role in longer failure are temperature of machines rises to dangerously high value, windings get damaged, increase in losses resulting in decrease in efficiency.

VPI is the latest type of insulation system called vacuum pressure impregnation on system.VPI includes pressure in addition to vacuum, thus assuring good penetrate on the varnish in coil. The result is improved mechanical strength and electrical properties. VPI system is mostly applied for laminated stator, rotor and exciter of a Turbo generator.

Study of thermal power station in NTPC at simhadri.

Summary:

The project that i have dealt with aims at study of thermal power plant N.T.P.C, Simhadri. The term study refers to any power plant includes the study of Turbines, Generators, Boilers, Condensers and Heaters.
Summarizing briefly with the different systems used at NTPC, Simhadri. I have also studied about different types of protective relays used and their principles of operations, at which I will have a closer look as I proceed through it.

Technical Experience:

Project Description: The project was for maintenance and support of 33/11 KV Sub-Station for APCPDCL .The project includes critical equipments like Distribution Transform (DTR) and Vaccum Circuit Breaker (VCB) and also to prevent the shocks.

Team Size: 4

Role: I was involved to keep equipments like PTRS DTRS VCBS Protective mechanisms and substation structures in satisfactory working condition for ensuring quality and uninterrupted power supply maintenance of sub station.

I was also involved in operating and maintenance of O&M distribution transformers.
The equipments used here is transformers bus-bars circuit breakers isolators earthing switches lighting arrestors substation batteries etc.
