Job Title: Email Security Threat Analyst

Experience: 1 – 2 years

Responsibilities:
1.Perform technical research tasks in support of quantitative and qualitative projects in the area of Email Security
2.Identify, collect and analyze email messages; produce and apply classification; design and publish message parsing rules
3.Conduct research on false positive and false negative email messages; identify means and techniques to prevent both
4.Review and create thumbprints for honeypot and user-submitted spam and phishing feed messages
5.Work with internal teams to design, document and execute procedures for submitting and processing spam and phishing messages
6.Publish email and spam statistics based on customer information and spam feeds
7.Maintain library of sample spam and phish techniques as well as activity report logs
8.Help build, classify and maintain message sets for Bayesian rules training and testing
9.Help build and maintain spam and phishing feeds and domains.

Qualifications:
1.Experience deploying anti-spam, virus or other email threat related signatures and policies a plus
2.Familiarity with email protocols and formats including SMTP, MIME, RFC 822, HTML and Perl a plus
3.Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Fluency in non-English languages a plus.

Experience and Education:
1.1-2 years experience; Working in an email or network security threat operations center preferred
2.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
