You shouldn’t forget that the resume is only made of words and words to have a negative and positive impact on the minds of the readers. Therefore, you do want to get in as many words that are positive as possible and avoid the ones that aren’t going to get you the right kind of impact but boomerang.

So, what if you knew that top ten resume keywords that you dare not put into your resume because of them getting you a negative impression and you not called for an interview. There has been extensive research that has been conducted in this regard and then these words have been enlisted below.

There are certain words that might sound really good and you might find them to be impressive, but in reality the sad thing is that they have been often used so many times over and over again that they do not carve out the right image for you any longer. They have become clichés and hackneyed and aren’t as great as they started out to be.

These words have been so over used that leave a hollow feeling in the reader’s mind. Imagine that you are stating to be innovative but in actuality can’t seem to find another word for the often enough used word innovative.

Research has further gone on to show that these are the exact words that will go on to do you more harm then good. Therefore, you need to keep these words in mind, the words that you need to avoid if you want your resume to end up in the right pile and you being called for an interview.

A good idea is to replace these words with other newer words and concentrate more on letting the employer know what is it that you bring to the table and how that is going to help them. This will go on to make your resume more robust and offer you the right kind of value addition that makes your resume meaty.

Try and ensure that your resume has as much relevant information about you as possible rather than just adjectives that don’t mean a lot. If you have gone ahead and put these top ten resume bloopers on your resume then remove them right away. People actually get repulsed by these words and it does not finally help you to crack a call letter for an interview. Therefore, why put them there in the first place.
