If you are a fresher, then it is likely that you don’t have the requisite skills to be able to pitch the questions thrown at you at the interview. Here are the top ten questions that you might have to face as a fresher along with the possible answers that you can give. Ensure that you don’t sound rehearsed and go on to sound natural when you answer them.
1. Tell me about yourself?
Do not divulge too much personal information. Keep it targeted and focused to professional work culture. This is a highly repeated question in most interviews and often the first one. Do not get carried away and talk non-stop. Start from the furthest information and walk through the interviewer to the present.
2. What do you bring to the table?
This is another way of highlighting, all of your achievements from various spheres, including education, voluntary work, internship and so forth. Ensure that you are specific and match what you say to what is on your resume.
3. What do you know about the organization?
This question showcases how well prepared you have come for the interview and if you have done your research well. Drop a few names and figures to prove that you really know what you are talking about.
4. Why do you want to work for us?
Relate it to the company and its achievements along with your long term goals and how they can be met. This is the time to showcase your research.
5. Are you applying for other jobs?
Be honest and sincere. Be alert and ensure that you answer convincingly.
6. Are you a team player?
This is an important question as most organizations look for team players. Cite examples of how you have been able to achieve team work. Ensure that you state the circumstance, the action that you took and the results that you achieved.
7. How long do you expect to work for us if hired?
Do not give specific examples and months or years. At the same time, ensure that you give them the right answer without going into further details.
8. What is your philosophy towards work?
This is the question wherein you can show your passion for the work. This is the time that you can show them how you are going to help them.
9. What are your areas of concern?
This is the question that you should handle with care. You should answer in such a way that the area of concern will also sound like a positive statement the way you say it.
10. How would you be an asset to our organization?
Highlight and let them know about your main strengths and skills that you bring to the table. This is the right kind of question wherein you can sell the brand called “You”
