Job Description: Use PRO/E as an engineering tool in the layout and modeling of diesel engine components, filtration components, aftertreatment devices, and power generation equipment. Examples of components to be designed include air intake systems, diesel engine customer options, base diesel engine components, lube/cooling/fuel modules, and exhaust/aftertreatment systems and components.
Create form, fit, and function specifications through the integration of material, producibility, and serviceability considerations.
Derive configuration and performance results that meet VPI Product Profiles.
Achieve product designs that fall within known design criteria and design standards or which meet derived design limits.
Perform static and kinematic machine design calculations as appropriate.
Use established software tools in the design and analysis of components and sub-systems.
Participate in the definition of Design Validation requirements.
Lead design reviews, FMEA, DQR, and C. of C. work per procedures.
Give leadership and support to subsequent activities in Drafting and other Product Definition functions.
Prepare technical data and documentation.
Develop and manage to Individual Work Plans in conjunction with supervisor.

PROJECT
Anti-Lock Breaking System,& Steam Accumulator.
Abstract: A braking system for an in-line skate wherein an additional wheel is connected to the skate product by a linkage. The linkage is designed to provide progressive braking force on the hub of the additional wheel. The additional wheel is load bearing and can rotate freely when the brake is not actuated. The braking system has a four bar linkage, a preload spring, a load bearing wheel hub and a skate wheel. The four bar linkage is made up of the in-line skate and three linkage bars interconnected in such a manner that they can move relative to one another. Attached to the linkage is a load bearing wheel hub which is attached to a brake wheel. A preload spring is attached to the linkage so that a predetermined force must be applied to the linkage bars before they will move relative to one another. The geometry of the linkage is such that relative bar movement results in a braking force being applied to the wheel hub and thereby to the braking wheel. The preload spring allows the skater to exert high wheel to ground forces which in turn result in greater braking forces without skidding.

Abstract: The control scheme of industrial power plants leads typically to a complex multivariable control structure with active constraints to be taken care of. Then Model Predictive Control method (MPC) handles multivariate control problems naturally and optimal control result is calculated considering actuator limitations and constraints of process variables. MPC is applied to control the pressure stability in a multilevel steam network. The system is demonstrated in a simulator environment. MPC can also be used as a convenient tool for analyzing and designing the structure of the steam network. A power plant simulator controlled by MPC helps to decide the location and the capacity of steam levelling components needed to stabilize the operation of the process by stem accumulator.
