FRESHERS SALARY: PAY PACKAGE 2008 IN INDIA

What is of paramount importance is the company and the salary package that one gets. The situation is extremely difficult as there are lots of people vying for the same position.
Graduates from various different streams apply for jobs in several big multi-national companies as well as several renowned Indian companies. These companies include Tata, Reliance, wipro, Accenture, Infosys, Hindustan Lever, HSBC, Deloitte, Google and several more.
All these figures are in lakhs per annum (Indian rupees) unless otherwise mentioned. The figures indicate salaries paid for a fresh graduate within the last two years.

With Schlumberger (8+ p.a. at IIT)giving these good packages,the scope in mechanical ,mining and exploration geophysics departments can t be ignored.It is hoped that a lot of students wud pursue these courses after coming to the most coveted IITs.

this is not to confuse private colleges ..their package was 2.6 lpa

But now freshers are lucky to get a job
And during recession you are very very lucky if your freshers packages exceeds 50K per year..or about Rs4000 per month.
