Job Title : Assistant Manager – Balance Sheet Reporting

Job Details :
This position will be part of the Financial Reporting Cluster. This position will primarily support the External Reporting function.

Job Responsibilities :

  1. Assist in Financial Reporting at an AXP/ Regional/Market/LOB/ External Segment- level.
  2. Assist in developing standard tools and processes for collating information from various sources for performing financial reporting and analysis.
  3. Establish required controls and checks to ensure integrity of the information collected.
  4. Develop relevant reporting of Financial Statements with supporting analysis to cater to diverse customer requirements.
  5. Collaborate with multiple Finance partners across Controllership, Business Unit Finance and other Finance organizations to source information and deliver on customer expectations.
  6. The incumbent will be expected to quickly gain detailed understanding of inputs, processes, controls, flows, metrics, risks, and outputs of the process area.
  7. The incumbent will be required to participate in standardization and continuous improvement initiatives as well as other business partner initiatives.
  8. The incumbent would be required to consistently understand and exceed customers requirements whilst ensuring effective teamwork at all times.
  9. The incumbent should be able to maintain high accuracy and productivity standards.
  10. The incumbent shall ensure that all deadlines are continually met and adequate controls are maintained over the processes handled by the team
  11. The incumbent shall be required, among other things, to maintain close contact with customer / business partners, and other interface groups
  12. The incumbent will also be required to provide some support to the Entity Submissions & Consolidations process through which information for some of the External Reporting / Regulatory Filings is gathered from various entities / markets across AXP
  13. The Entity Submissions & Consolidations team provides support for the standard submissions to all the entities / markets and is responsible for review of the submission to ensure completeness, correctness & adherence to timelines. The consolidated information is shared with the External Reporting & Regulatory reporting Teams.
  14. This position will be required to support various Balance Sheet Reporting initiatives undertaken by the management from time to time and accordingly, the job role may undergo a change, to align with those initiatives.

Shift Timings : 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Education Required : CA

Required :

  1. should be Chartered Accountant with min 2-3 years of post qualification experience.
  2. Should have problem solving, planning and analytical skills to facilitate and focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  3. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact independently with senior business partners / customers etc.
  4. Reporting and analysis experience will be an advantage.
  5. Familiarity with US GAAP and financial accounting experience is preferred.
  6. For an internal candidate, Knowledge of company policies, businesses, Finance processes and systems is desirable
  7. Must be proficient in MS Applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  8. Should have strong results orientation, project management, collaboration and co-ordination abilities.
  9. Experience in Balance Sheet Reporting.
