Job Title: Systems/Software Engineer

Experience: 1 – 6 Years

Skills:

• Programming skills on Unix, C, Perl Scripts, Shell Scripts
• Strong Unix internals and Kernel skills
• Knowledge of testing tools and test Automation methodologies

Desired:

• Responsible for development of Test Suites in the kernel area
• Enhancing current tests and Developing new tests for HPUX kernel.
• Should be capable of understanding kernel design documents and come up with test plans and test suites.
• Should be highly pro-active in defect prevention activities
• Should be able to identify and add new test suites increasing the code coverage and uncovering Defects in the existing HPUX kernel.
• Responsible for looking out for patterns in incoming defects and take corrective actions on product quality in discussion with kernel engineers.
• Perform White box and black box testing and automate test suites in the HPUX kernel.
• Maintain existing test suites used for verification of HPUX kernel.
• Manage and facilitate execution of test scenarios.
• Participate in test related engineering discussions, log test related defects and track and monitor them to closure. Work closely with product teams to drive issue resolutions found during test.
• Standardization and optimization of the test processes.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
• Need to be a team player, with excellent communication skills.
