Let us look at the things that you must do to ensure that you find a job for yourself as soon as possible. Before you graduate try to seek as much career advice as possible. Speak to all the people you can and find out of the jobs and several openings that are there. Remember that networking is the key. Seek the help of career counselors and the placement cell in your college. They will be able to help you and if not get you jobs, at least guide you in the right direction.

Try and garner as much information as possible about the tests that they administer for graduates who have no work experience. Look through and practice all the career tests.

Seek the help of the student alumni and the career cell. They will guide you towards all the right opportunities. They also conduct seminars and workshops to help you transition smoothly from being a student to an employee.

Log on to the internet to find out about the companies that are recruiting and you are interested in. Research information, and then when you are called for an interview you will know enough about them.

Try and introspect and find out the skills and things you are good at. Then you will be able to showcase these when you go for interviews. Initially go for as many interviews as you can. This will enable you to know the pattern that interviews take and build up your confidence. Look out for similar questions that you are asked. Then you will be able to practice some of the answers and decide what you would like to say if these questions were asked. Practice the several rounds of interviews with friends and seek feedback from them. Work on the feedback so that the next time the same errors do not occur.

Try and utilize all the resources that you have to the maximum. When you enter the work force you will have to be ready. Hence, ready yourself by reading and knowing about the expectations from staff.

Get ready with your resume. Drafting a resume takes time. Research the various templates available and choose the most suitable one. There are sites that are specific to posting jobs for entry level positions. Log on to those regularly and start applying. Post your resume on such job sites so that employers can seek you out if your skills suit you.

Beware of job scams. If you are offered a job of course you have reason to be jubilant but at the same time check out the offer so that you are not taken for a ride. There are several fly by night operators looking for a naive first time job hunter.
