How to Write a Freshers Resume for a Part-time Job

As a fresher, you might want to continue to pursue further studies and start working part time as well. In order to do this you need a resume that ensures that you are able to clinch the part time job that you are interested in.

The job market is really competitive and so is the case with part time jobs. The best candidate will no doubt win but the first step is to get yourself a resume that is able to sell your skills to the employer and ensure that they get interested enough in you to go ahead and invite you for an interview.

The first thing to keep in mind is the objective of the resume. Make certain that the objective is apt for the job role and industry that you are applying for.

Next is the professional image that your resume should go on to create. The potential employer will go through it with a fine comb and they should not find any grammatical or spelling errors.

Another thing for you to do is to ensure that everything that you mention in the resume is the truth. Everything can be cross checked and verified and if you are found to be lying you will certainly cut a very sorry figure for yourself.

Make the contact information visible and so is with the other details. Highlight your educational qualifications, the skills that you have picked up on the way and if you have worked part time whilst studying. Also, bring to the employer’s notice how your skills will bring about great value addition to their business. You should be able to sell to them how you can increase their bottom line.

The education details in a fresher’s resume are the most important ones. Focus on the premium institutes that you have attended the marks that you have secured and also the subjects that you have majored in. A diligent student usually turns out to be a conscientious worker and employers look out for that.

Add on the extra bits of touches that will differentiate you from the rest of the candidates. You should have that wining edge to you that spells something unique about you. Your resume should be such that it is able to stand out from the heap and gain the attention of the potential employer.

Work experience and voluntary work counts big time. Let them know that of the charities that you support. Also, highlight your hobbies and how it will help your future job.

If you have participated in any internships during the summer holidays and picked up relevant work experience then put that right on top. Ensure that you let the interviewer know of your proficiency in languages and computer knowledge as well. Special skills is always what an employer looks for.
