How to write an email for a Job ?

When you apply for any job, cover letters are the ones that leave the first impression on the recruiters. When you write applications for jobs through e-mails, it should be as professional as it would be on a paper. Here is a format that you can follow for writing emails for jobs.

Phone Number
Email Address
Employer Contact Information (if you have it)
City, State, Zip Code
Dear Mr./Ms. Last Name, (leave out if you don’t have a contact)
Body of Application Letter
This is to let the employer know what position you are applying for, why the employer should select you for an interview. It should also have a mention of how you will follow-up.
First Paragraph
The first paragraph of your letter should include information on why you are writing. Mention where you found the job listing. And what job you are applying for.
Middle Paragraph(s)
This section of your application letter should through light on what you have to offer the employer. Describe how your qualifications match the job you are applying for. Do not repeat your resume. Be concise.
Conclude your application letter by thanking the employer for considering you for the position. Include information on how you will follow-up.
Complimentary Close
Some Tips:

1. Be Brief and to the point. The letter should not be longer than 2-3 paragraphs.
2. Mention your professional email id.  It makes an impression of what kind of person you are.
3. Since, its your chance of making the first impression, do not make any spelling or grammatical errors. Proofread your email.
4. Make use of industry specific key words if possible.
5. Avoid using fancy typography in your email.
6. Include your cover letter and resume both in the body of the email and as attachments, since opening attachments takes time and some companies do not
prefer it that way.
