HOW TO SURVIVE 2009 RECESSION IN INDIA
May 28th, 2009 Posted by VFreshersRecession 2009 in India
The survival strategy of the recession requires that freshers & other Entry Level Job Seekers remain positive. With Entry level jobs in India being not a plenty in the Current Indian market unless one remains positive one will not be able to put their best foot forward.
Keep up the confidence. Do not stop sending across your resume. Draft your resumes in such a manner that it will get the attention of the employer so that you are called for an interview. In times of recession you must highlight to the interviewer your productivity as well as how you will help the company cut costs.
There will be hundreds of people like you vying for the same job. Hence, do your very best in the interviews and if you aren’t able to clinch that job deal do not let it get you down. Take all possible failures in your stride, dust yourself and move on. Things might get difficult but remember they are not impossible.
Pressures will be a part of this job search. Learn to accept it and deal with it appropriately. Put your best face in front of the crowd. Showcase confidence and work really hard. Remember that the employer will want you to put in long hours and prove yourself and your capabilities. Do that and you will be able to carve a niche for yourself in your employer’s heart.
There will be heartache, pain, agony and real hardship at times but keep on going. Remember that just before it rains the sky is the darkest. Do not give up. At the same time take up any job that comes your way but be careful & avoid any job scams that come your way.
This is the time that you must be different and stand out from the rest of the herd. Even after trying really really hard you aren’t able to secure a job for yourself try and look at different avenues. Do not look at the situation from only one angle and perspective. Why not try entrepreneurship. This could be the right time to strike out on your own if you have some product or services to offer in the market. Everyone is looking for competitively priced products that provide customer delight.
Look at your skill sets objectively. If you do not have enough specialized skills and knowledge go ahead and secure them. Upgrade yourself so that when the recession wears itself out you will be ready to pick up the jobs in the market. You should be able to increase your bandwidth where work is concerned and be able to perform different kinds of tasks. Something like a jack of all arts rather than just being the best in one kind of a task.
