Based on new urbanism principles, and located near Pune, India, LAVASA is a township being developed over a sprawling area of approximately 10,000 rolling acres by Hindusthan Construction Company (HCC). Lavasa is located on the backwaters of Warasgaon dam on the Western Ghats between Pune and Mumbai. The township is master planned with the objective of striking a balance between cosmopolitan architecture and environmentally friendly surroundings. With proximity of 90 minutes to Pune and 4 hours to Mumbai, Lavasa presents an attractive holiday location for urbanites. Lavasa will consist of diverse neighborhoods, focusing on upper middle class to affluent families. It will include business parks made up of employers, such as commercial, institutional, and information technology (IT) firms, nonpolluting processing firms, residential, retail, hospitality, educational, and healthcare buildings and institutions as well as sports & recreational venues. Modes of commuting will vary from personal cars to ferry transport to ropeway (i.e., skyway or ski lift-type) traffic and, possibly, electric public buses.
With a vision of providing world class facilities in Tourism and Hospitality industry, a total of 3 Accor Hotels and one Convention Centre will be coming up at LAVASA, with a combined capacity of 583 rooms – consisting of a 253 rooms PULLMAN, a 200 rooms NOVOTEL RESORT, 130 rooms MERCURE LAVASA and a 1000 pax capacity CONVENTION CENTRE.
The first projects to be developed will be the LAVASA INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE slated to be opening early 2010 and will be the first internationally branded Convention Centre in Lavasa.

Job Responsibilities :
Assist in the areas of employment, affirmative action, salary and benefits administration, employee events, or employee communications.
Supervise hiring process by posting/advertising positions, collecting and evaluating applications, checking references, interviewing candidates with supervisors, hiring applicants
Develop and administer employee performance evaluation program, assisting supervisors with implementation.
Plan, coordinate and administer compensation and benefits programs.
Assist the Manager – Human Resources in establishing the personnel budget, including salaries and benefits.
Co – ordinate all Team Dining activities and responsible for all employee facilities.
Oversee health benefits program.
Ensure compliance and co – ordinate issues pertaining to law, court decisions, and trends affecting personnel policies and procedures and keep abreast of the same.
Maintain job classification, job descriptions and competence manuals.
Maintain awareness of developments and trends in the profession through in-service workshops, meetings, conferences, professional literature and organizational memberships, advising team mates, as needed.
