Experience: 1 – 5 Years

Location: Hyderabad / Secunderabad

Job Description :
Provide Linux system administration and technical support including installation / configuration & maintain Linux servers.
Prompt resolution of application / system problems including determining root cause of problem through to appropriate solution.
Basic administration of databases: MySQL/ PostgreSQL.
Interact with support staff of remote datacenter for resolution of problems on as required basis.
Keeping internal customers apprised of work effort being conducted to resolve their issues.
Consulting with appropriate member of the IT and / or Development team to resolve issues.
Prepare management reports.
Designing, implementing and managing Internet Servers.
Ensuring performance guarantees, backups and security. Scripting, programming and administrative duties will be involved as and when required.
Backup/ recovery of data and full systems.
Application administration including Apache, CVS, Bugzilla, SVN etc. Experience in JSP, PHP, Tomcat will be an added advantage.
High capacity TCP/ IP configuration including NIC teaming, and ethereal / tcp dump diagnosis. Firewall, router and other layer 2/3-device administration is an advantage but not necessary.
Supporting core services including NFS, SMTP / Postfix, DNS / BIND, LDAP, Kerberos, HTTP / Apache / AOLserver, SSL, SUDO, Syslog and FTP.

Desired :
1. The basic requirement is for the candidate to be a fast-learner, self-driven, capable of working efficiently and to be solution oriented.
2. Command over Linux OS and good knowledge of how the Web functions.
3. You should have extensive experience installing and configuring packages on linux, knowledge of TCP / IP and networking.
4. Experience with shell programming and an interest in developing these skills.
5. Extensive knowledge of Linux based web servers, firewalls / security, NFS, DNS, NIS, MTAs.
6. Excellent knowledge of high capacity mail server administration using POP3, SMTP, and IMAP.
7. Server administration knowledge of DNS and database systems (MySQL, Postgres, MS-SQL).
8. Candidate should be able to design secure network Architecture.
9. Programming / scripting ability (Bash, PERL, Python, Shell, C) is a definite advantage.
10. Good communication skills.
