Description
The project is designed so as to control the movement of a robot on a line. The entire circuitry has been enhanced using Opto Electronic Devices and CMOS technologies. The basic operations of the robot are capturing line position using optical sensors and steering the robot to follow the line.
I took the responsibility of designing the sensor circuit, mounting the circuit on the robot and adjustment of the sensors to follow the line which is the main part of our project.. These are mounted at the front end of the robot. In case of any line bends or curves, these optical sensors control the robot’s movement so as to skip the line deviations and precede its movement along the straight line. The objective of the project is to track the line, which is done by sensors, with the use of two photo reflectors which receives the signal sent by the sensors.
