Job Title: Software Configuration Management Engineer

Responsibilities:
Candidates for this post will require excellent organizational skills, a methodical approach to tasks and an attention to detail. An ability to work to tight deadlines is an essential requirement.

Job Responsibilities:
Taking delivery of software and sources from developers
Storing software sources within the configuration library
Creating software builds for testing
Preparing software release documentation
Delivering acceptance tested software to NCR’s software distribution centre
Suggesting and contributing to configuration process improvements
Development of tools to support the configuration management process
Tracking and maintaining shipment of early software and software used for problem investigation
Knowledge of software configuration management is preferred and preparing release candidates using NCR’s Aggregate Builder will be a distinct advantage.
General Trouble shooting abilities are required for validation of test builds generated for users of the components and products.
Working knowledge of change management tools such as MKS Source Integrity and defect tracking system GRIT will be an advantage.

Location: Pondicherry

Education and Background:
Candidates should have a recognised qualification in an Engineering/Science discipline at Degree or equivalent level.
Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience of mandatory skills along with one or more of preferred skills:

Mandatory Requirement:

1. Working Experience: 1 -3yrs
2. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
3. Good knowledge and understanding of any of SCM Tool

Preferred Skills:

• MKS Source Integrity (Enterprise)
• Visual Basic
• Java
• Javascript
• FrontPage
• XP Operating system
• Component structure for integration with Aggregate Builder
