Summer Placement Opportunities at Allianz, UK June 2011 :
On our nine week placement, you’ll get a feel for the insurance industry working in one of our key areas.
We’ve been going since 1890, and today, Allianz is a global leader in insurance and financial services, with more than 150,000 people working in more than 70 countries serving over 75 million customers. We’re also one of the world’s top five asset managers, and our client base, like our talented workforce, is incredibly varied. As well as providing insurance for most of the Fortune 500, we insure everything from high profile concert tours to massive infrastructure projects. Impressive stuff, you’ll agree. This is precisely why we need some very impressive people to join us.
Fancy doing something a bit more worthwhile with your summer? Why not spend it getting some real life experience under your belt? On our nine week placement, you’ll get a feel for the insurance industry working in one of our key areas, Claims, Commercial Underwriting or Sales, Marketing and Business. You’ll be right in the thick of things too, contributing to meetings and talking to senior managers, as we trust you with great responsibility from day one. But you’ll never feel alone, not for a minute, as you’ll be fully supported by your line manager.
If you want to develop a career in financial services, and can bring enthusiasm and energy, this summer could be your chance to gain practical, on the job experience. You’ll need a minimum of 300 UCAS points (excluding AS-levels and General Studies) or equivalent, and be on track for a 2:1 degree in any subject. Unfazed by a challenge, and eager to further your personal development, you’ll be based anywhere in the country. After successfully completing your nine weeks, and a performance review, you’ll also have the choice to fast track on one of our graduate schemes.
