Job Responsibilities :

  1. Responsible for industrial harmony in the department and act as an interface between the management and Employees.
  2. Drive and instill behavioral change towards safety at work place.
  3. Preparations of the proposal, Approval of Mgt, Discussion with Union and its implementation.
  4. To forecast the natural vacancies and filling up within 30 days of occurrence.
  5. To cover 25% of employees under Sabashi scheme and organize the function every month.
  6. Review, monitor the IB progress and initiate proactive action in case of overrun.
  7. To obtain the management sanction for picnic grants as per defined criteria.
  8. Compliance to parivesh plans.
  9. Prompt disciplinary action and completion of enquiries within 30days. Nos. of issues raised & resolved on Samadhan.
  10. Monthly JDC/ Head – UCM meetings& Compliances. Managing Joint Consultation Forums.
  11. To improve the skill mix of the employees with desired skill-set commensurate with the job requirement and change in technology to meet the demands of the shop through training and development of individuals for enhancing employees productivity.
  12. Administration of Rewards & Recognition Programmes.
  13. Implement Employees welfare & well being programmes.
  14. Maintaining shop floor discipline & redressing grievances.
  15. Management of Industrial Relations.
  16. Training and Developement

Required :

  • Post Graduate – Personnel Management or MBA (HR)
  • 1-3 years of experience in HR/IR functions

    Job Profile:

    Present: Head of Personnel & Administration (May 2008 – Jan 2011)

    • Plan infrastructure development (civil/fabrication work) to meet production need (Smooth Process flow, new machine installation etc).

    • Ensure better utility services like drinking water, sufficient lighting arrangement at shop floor better wash room facilities etc.

    • Manpower planning; Optimum utilization of manpower by cross- training e.g. to train operator of grinding in hobbing operation.

    • Identify training need of all employees in consultation with departmental heads and arrange training program.

    • Ensure welfare of the employees and Grievance handling.

    • Plan installation of new machines/shifting of CNC machines at shop floor.

    • Take strategic decisions on security deployment to beef up security.

    • Quarterly physical check of stock.

    • Maintain discipline in the plant and liaise with local police station.

    • Manage Housekeeping in the plant and Maintain 5’S’ at shop floor.

    • Plan transportation of materials (Timely dispatch / material handling / optimum utilization)

    • Manage canteen services

    • Manage company guests/guesthouse / accommodation / company cars services etc.

    • Maintain details of Contract labor and monitor their work on regular basis.

    • Attend Management Review Meeting to find out the reasons of schedule failure / rejection / under capacity utilization and decide corrective measure. Some of the reasons are failure of timely supply of raw materials or low quality cutting tools, long cycle time, lack of proper production/dispatch planning, lack of co-ordination in process flow etc.

    • Investigate shop floor accident cases, if any and check if the accident caused due to lack of safety and take necessary safety precaution to avoid the recur of accident in future.

    • Ensure better medical aids to operators by liaising with ESI high official or with local nursing homes to meet exigencies.
