Job Description : The role of the Programmer is to read and understand software requirements and to design and develop software solutions based on those requirements. The Programmer/Analyst position is an engineering position, requiring an individual with an extensive technical background in software development tools and techniques, as well as strong analytical and abstract reasoning skills.

Responsible for writing code to implement system deliverables as defined in business requirements documents, following the system architecture and designs as detailed by the Senior Software Engineer.

Document and unit test all code modules using standard tools.

Participate during the QA and UAT processes by modifying code to fix any Critical or High defects in order to ensure approval of the deliverable(s)

Immediately raise issues or risks to the successful and timely completion of deliverables to the Project Manager or immediate supervisor

Utilize the source code control management systems to tightly integrate the activities of the teams.

Participate in daily review meetings with the Technical Program Manager and/or the Senior Software Architect and/or the global development group to discuss project status, system design and/or product requirements.
Day to day interaction with project champions and other stakeholders, including product manager, quality assurance, technical support, software developers and globally-based program management and software development groups. 

Desired : 4+ years programming on Core Java, Servlets, JDBC,JSP, Jakarta Struts, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Apache Tomcat or any Web Server, experience with OOP concepts.
Demonstrable prior experience with relational database technology (Sybase,MySQL).
Excellent troubleshooting skills and problem resolution skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Skills : RUP and/or UML Skill
Prior experience in developing software for the financial markets
Experience developing software on both Unix and Windows operatinf systems.
