With pink slips, people in between jobs and the unemployed it makes complete sense to look for careers that are always going to be in demand and not hit by any recession what so ever.
There are jobs that can weather the storm and still come out positive. Although the economy is slow and sluggish, there are sectors that have the jobs but not enough people to take them on.
Let us enumerate the ten jobs that once could pick and never worry about the next pay check or another job. You will always be in demand and your skills will increase multifold as you move up the chain.
- Sales and marketing: A good sales team will be able to generate the much needed business for you in the tough times ahead. Without a commendable marketing and sales force your products certainly won’t be flying off the shelves. When people are being cautious about how they spend their money, a good sales team will be able to explain the benefits of buying your products. This will enable you to have an edge over the others in the business.
- Software design and development: There are always going to be newer and better software that are going to be in demand. Those who have a creative bent of mind and able to put that into developing software will never find themselves without jobs as long as the world is shifting to computers.
- Nursing: This is an off shoot of long life spans and better medical facilities available. Also, the world over the population has lots of aging baby boomers. Diseases that were harbingers of death can easily be controlled under medical long term supervision. This requires nursing. Furthermore, fewer women are opting for this profession as different work opportunities open up for them.
- Accountant: Everyone needs to keep their finances and taxes in shape. Hence, as long as there is money, accountants will be around.
- Systems Administration/Networking: These are the folks to keep the systems working so that all other business gets carried on without a hitch. Although, they are in the background they do an extremely important job and without them the company wouldn’t be able to function as all the data is out there. All the communication happens through their help and a company will be helpless without this. All the tools that we use everyday such as emails, teleconferencing and company intranet all of this comes from them. Many companies having realized the importance are getting into newer and better versions hence the demand will continue.
- Administrative in charge: These are the people who see to the day to day functioning of the facilities and the business. Every business needs someone to take charge of this so that the others can concentrate on their core job.
- Business analyst: Businesses without analyzing the future are going to get into a lot of trouble. Therefore, the need for business analyst to crunch all the data and numbers and decipher the emerging trend out of these.
- Researchers: These are the ones who come up with new ideas, innovations and products which mean more business share.
- Teaching and doctors: These two professions are here to stay as long as there is mankind.

i think that the Economic Recession would soon be over in the following years. there are lots of positive indicators in the world economy.
