Job Details :
- We, Midrange Server Operations team, as part of ECC (Enterprise Command Center of ACS, IT Solutions group) monitor more than 15000 servers (Wintel,Unix ,Solaris & Web servers) & 14 AS400 servers remotely from Bangalore.
- We monitor the servers in terms of their up/down status, OS & hardware issues, Applications such as Oracle/Exchange, as well as few web services and Backup (using Veritasâ€™ Netbackup tool), 24/7.
- Every second of down time to our client costs us our & our clients’ money and reputation. Hence, our job is highly critical for the success of our team and our clients.
- Two to four years of system administration experience on Windows Desktops/Servers. Server Monitoring experience would be a plus.
- The basics of Networking & TCP/IP is must.
- Should have worked in Systems Admin/Support environment for at least 1 year and be aware of the high criticality of IT/Server infrastructure.
- Duties require a high sense of urgency and client oriented mindset towards IT server infrastructure, familiarity with various diverse operating environments, applications and equipment as well as IT support standards like ISO 20000 and ITIL.
- The candidate should be willing to work during night shifts, and the weekend, as per our shift schedule.
- This job requires the candidate to work in 12 hours “day” or “night” shifts (and hence the team members work only for 15 or 16 days in a month). The shift rotates every month.
- Must have excellent communication and coordination skills. Exposure to monitoring tools like NetIQ, Netcool, big brother, Candle command Center etc would be a plus.
