Job Description : QUICKTEST PRO ,SOFTWARE TESTING, QUICKTEST PRO (QTP)
Understand the application which is being automated.
Should create test cases, wherever required.
Should create user defined functions, generic window functions.
Should create automation scripts using the identified testing tools.
Should execute the automation scripts and report the results.
Identify areas which require modification and updating the scripts accordingly.
Attend daily, weekly meetings.
Reports should be submitted to Team Lead.
Train the new recruits in automation concepts and testing tools.
Estimate effort for allocated modules for test automation.
Create user manuals for scripts execution.
Train users for executing the automation scripts.

Desired : Should have 4 to 6 years of software testing experience of which more than 2 years in extensively using Mercury (Win Runner or QTP) and Rational (Rational functional tester) tools.
Should have excellent hands-on experience in TSL (Test Script Language) and VB scripting.
Should have working knowledge in test automation framework/architecture.
Should have worked minimum two or more automation projects, where the scripts are client deliverables.
Should have good attitude to learn new skills and adapt to the newer technologies.
