Job Title : Build Master / Release Engineering

Job Description :

1. will be responsible for planning and defining software build, packaging, dependency management and deployment strategy uniting the efforts of the engineering teams with the respective service engineering teams. Work within SE&O to define, implement and maintain development, QA, staging and production environments for applications including deployment automation for each.
2. Collabrate with development, QA, other release engineer and service engineer teams for product’s installation, configuration, and deployment processes.
3. Validate product’s software packaging, dependencies such as IGOR adheres to Y! Best practices.
4. Create, maintain and manage software deployment automation.
5. Responsible for gathering, tracking, supplying and training all the Y!tools (i.e. stagecoach, buildyblock, yidf etc.) that are required to develop and build software.
6. Responsible for software continuous integration and build automation.
7. Work with Quality Assurance team to introduce test automation into the build and deploy routines, facilitate testing, and coordinate release activities.

Desired :

1. Bachelor degree in IT, CS, or related technical discipline
2. 1+ years experience as a Linux/Unix release engineer
3. Proven experience developing software build and deployment plan and strategies.
4. Knowledge of agile SDLC, software configuration management practices, release management methodologies and production deployment.
5. Expert skills building, packaging and distribution of signed packages written in Java, C++ and Php
6. Experiences with Maven and GNU make.
7. Good in at least one source control system such as Subversion, CVS or Perforce
8. Good scripting skills such as Perl.
